Once you have received your provisional licence from Swansea you will then need to carry out the DSA Hazard Perception and Theory tests. The Theory test is a series of multiple choice questions and is taken on a computer at a Pearson Professional Centre, you will need to allow up to 90 minutes for the completion of this test. You will need to either read or use a computer to learn the questions and answers using ‘ The Official DSA Theory Test for Drivers of Large Vehicles’ available in paperback or CD rom form.

In addition you will also need to take a Hazard Perception test, this shows a series of video clips where an incident or potential incident is about to happen, you will need to show that you can identify this problem in good time. Again a CD rom to practice this is available from Ebay, Amazon and all good book stores.

The Theory test costs £28.00 and the Hazard Perception a further £12.00.

Once you have passed both of these test you are ready to start your practical training, at this point we offer you a free driver assessment which can be booked by calling Geoff on 07733 012255

You can try a free LGV Theory Test at Safe Driving For Life.
